Hello there and welcome. We’re a husband-and-wife team working to help artisans, small businesses, and others in Japan connect with the rest of the world by providing a plethora of language-related services, with translation and transcreation being our bread and butter. We also provide support to similar kinds of business owners based abroad who are looking to expand their horizons to Japan’s shores.

This is not just a name; it’s what we believe.
Language is imperative when it comes to doing business effectively and communicating internationally, but as our motto suggests, we believe that language is so much more than just a communication tool. It’s art in and of itself. We may spend around a third of our lives asleep, but we spend all of our lives using language in one form or another.
We believe that the artistic process involved in producing a piece of writing in particular applies to all forms of the written word, not just the traditional artforms of literature, poetry and so on and so forth.
Even a brief email, for instance, represents an opportunity to express oneself creatively and the chance to immortalize one’s thoughts, intentions and sentiments. Any time words are put down on paper or entered into a device and displayed on a screen, the author is being bestowed an arena with which to demonstrate their creativity, exercise their imagination, and exert their originality. Writing produced with this mindset can be indefinitely appreciated as a form of art.
An email constructed based on this mindset, for instance, can be used more than once and can even serve as a reference for authors and readers alike when constructing later emails. A hastily written email prepared to merely get a point across in a specific instance is obviously only useful for that one particular instance.
That’s why we meticulously craft each piece of writing not just to be used for one specific instance, like a makeshift stone axe would be made and used to fell a single tree, but so that it can be effectively used over and over again, just as a proper steel axe forged by a professional blacksmith ends up being used to fell many trees over the course of potentially centuries. And just as the forged axe is admired for its craftsmanship, so can any form of the written word be appreciated as art for its quality of content, structure and form.
Language doesn’t just convey meaning; it harnesses intentions, sparks emotions, inspires action, and leaves lasting impressions. That’s why we believe that writing in all its form should be built to last and crafted to be cherished indefinitely.
